Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are aesthetic treatments used to improve the appearance and texture of the skin by applying a chemical solution to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin. They are commonly used to address a variety of skin concerns including:

  • Fine lines & Wrinkles
  • Uneven Skin Tone
  • Acne & Acne Scars
  • Sun Damage
  • Rough Skin Texture

During a chemical peel treatment, the skin is thoroughly cleansed and a chemical solution is applied evenly to the treatment area. The solution is left on the skin for a specific amount of time before being neutralized or removed. Patients may experience a tingling sensation during the treatment, which usually subsides shortly after.

After the peel, patients may experience redness, peeling, and sensitivity as the skin heals and regenerates. It is essential to follow post-peel instructions, including gentle skincare products and sun protection to optimize results and minimize the risk of complications.

Each SkinMedica chemical peel provided at Rejuvenate! varies in strength, depth of penetration, and the specific blend of active ingredients. The choice depends on individual skin type, concerns, and desired results. In general, a series of peels is often recommended to achieve optimal results.

Our Skin Peels

Illuminize Peel

What it does: The Illuminize Peel helps improve skin texture and tone, enhances clarity, and reduces the appearance of mild imperfections such as fine lines and uneven pigmentation.

What to expect: Minimal downtime and discomfort are associated with this peel. You may experience a mild tingling sensation during the treatment and some redness immediately afterward, which typically subsides within a few hours to a day.

Treatment Protocol: A series of treatments are spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart. These peels are milder and may require multiple sessions to see significant improvements in skin texture and tone.

Vitalize Peel

What it does: This peel targets mild to moderate skin imperfections, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and uneven skin tone. It stimulates collagen production, exfoliates the skin, and improves overall skin texture.

What to expect: You may experience some redness, tightness, and mild peeling in the days following the treatment. The downtime is minimal compared to deeper peels, typically lasting a few days.

Treatment Protocol: A series of 3 to 6 treatments may be recommended, with sessions typically spaced about 3 to 4 weeks apart. These peels penetrate deeper into the skin and can effectively address mild to moderate skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven pigmentation.

Rejuvenize Peel

What it does: This peel is designed to address moderate to severe skin imperfections such as deeper wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation. It provides significant exfoliation, stimulates collagen production, and rejuvenates the skin for a smoother, more even complexion.

What to expect: The downtime with the Rejuvenize Peel is slightly longer compared to the Vitalize Peel, with more noticeable peeling and redness that can last up to a week. However, the results are also more dramatic, with improvements in skin texture, tone, and clarity.

Treatment Protocol: Fewer treatments are often needed due to the peel’s potency. If indicated, a series of 2 to 4 treatments, spaced about 4 to 6 weeks apart is typically recommended.
